A lot of Mormons think that good people will obviously recognize the truthfulness of the church and quickly join. Additionally, you need to take stock of your beliefs and acknowledge they may change overtime. We are trying to work together to live together in 3 years but since we are homosexuals and in an arabic country its kinda hard to try to live here so we have to wait for her to graduate to get out of here. But if you are with someone who is plainly selfish or dishonest or mean, then don't let them use their occupation as an excuse.
Mormons can be pretty crazy without it. I'd suggest taking issue with things that specifically bug you the most. Great post and so very true. Their son grew up to become a temple president.
